 Weyauwega-Fremont is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Belleville. Weyauwega-Fremont slipped by Belleville  28-27 on Friday. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Warhawks as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
 Weyauwega-Fremont got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Broc Billington out in front who picked up 50 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Another passer making a difference was  Kameron Zielke, who rushed for 37 yards and a touchdown.
 Weyauwega-Fremont wouldn't let Belleville keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force four fumbles. It was truly a group effort as  Jared Bohringer,  Christopher Delgado, and  Carter McDaniel picked up one apiece.
 Meanwhile, Iola-Scandinavia gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener  on Saturday. They were the clear victor by  a  32-6 margin over Shiocton.
 Weyauwega-Fremont was dealt a bruising  40-6 loss at the hands of Iola-Scandinavia when the teams last played  back in September of 2019. Can Weyauwega-Fremont avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
