Prince Alexander ran for two touchdowns and
Walter Mabrey added two as well as
Union County (Lake Butler, Fla.) bested
Williston (Fla.) 33-12 on Saturday.
The Fightin' Tigers were up 21-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by Mabrey in the first quarter.
Union County saw its 21-point halftime lead fall to 15 entering the fourth.
With the win UC extended its winning streak to nine games. The Lake Butler school defeated the Indians 38-18 last week.
Tyus Williams made a difference for the Red Devils. The senior tight end caught one touchdown.
The Fightin' Tigers had given up an average of 9.9 points prior to the contest. The 12 points that Williston ended with were below its average of 15.6 coming into the game.
Union County also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 45-22.
Williston (2-6) goes up against Dixie County in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Union County (9-0) locks horns with Newberry in a 1A District 7 game.
