Basketball Recap: Atlanta Classical Academy's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Atlanta Classical Academy won the last time they faced Bowdon, and Miller McGowan did his part to make sure it happened again. The Atlanta Classical Academy Cavaliers came out on top against the Bowdon Red Devils by a score of 72-61 on Wednesday thanks in part to McGowan, who almost dropped a double-double on 50 points and nine rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Atlanta Classical Academy's points.

Andres Wright was another key player, putting up 14 points in addition to eight assists and eight boards. That's the most assists he has posted since back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Bowdon still got an impressive performance from Kaiden Prothro, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 17 rebounds. The contest was Prothro's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zayland Allen, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

Atlanta Classical Academy's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8. As for Bowdon, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Atlanta Classical Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-60 victory against Greenville on the 14th. As for Bowdon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 76-62 win against Pepperell on the 14th.
