The Westchester Comets are taking a road trip to square off against the Culver City Centaurs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westchester is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
Westchester is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Los Angeles CES by a score of 12-9.

Laylah Ali made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Raine Green, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Milani Jones was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Westchester was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .531. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Culver City unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rancho Mirage.
Culver City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miami McRae, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.
Westchester now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Culver City, their loss dropped their record down to 13-15.
Culver City's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Westchester has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.4 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Culver City, though, as they've been averaging only 3.4 strikeouts. Will Westchester keep running through batters, or will the Centaurs buck the trend?
