McKinley found their leader in underclassman Kherington Stanford, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 steals. Stanford is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Hannah Grimm was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
McKinley's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Lordstown, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
McKinley will head out on the road to take on Poland Seminary at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Poland Seminary presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than McKinley in Ohio (Poland Seminary is ranked 274th, while McKinley is ranked 602nd). As for Lordstown, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Bristol at 5:30 p.m.
