After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, The Rochester Warriors brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They enjoyed a cozy 44-30 win over Tenino on Friday. The victory was just what Rochester needed coming off of a 54-6 defeat in their prior game.
Tate Quarnstrom was a one-man wrecking crew for Rochester as he rushed for 191 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Palmer Watt was another key contributor, rushing for 155 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.1 yards per carry.
Tenino's loss came despite strong showings from Cody Strawn and Jack Burkhardt. Strawn rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, while Burkhardt picked up 119 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Rochester's win bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Tenino, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rochester will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Woodland at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Woodland will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Tenino, they will head out on the road to face off against Seton Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Seton Catholic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Tenino in Washington (Seton Catholic is ranked 104th, while Tenino is ranked 220th).
