Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Holliston Panthers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell just short of Scituate by a score of 27-24. Holliston's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Scituate was led to victory by Lawson Foley and Jackson Thomas Belsan. Foley picked up 210 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Thomas Belsan threw for 349 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.9 yards per attempt. Foley's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.
Holliston's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Scituate, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Holliston will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Westwood at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd. Westwood will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Scituate, they will take on Grafton at TBD on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Massachusetts (Grafton is ranked 43rd, while Scituate is ranked 39th).
