The Seaside Seagulls will head out on the road to take on the Marist Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Seaside will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Last Wednesday, Seaside strolled past Scappoose with points to spare, taking the game 54-39. Given Seaside's advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Scappoose is ranked 88th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Marist posted their biggest victory since December 16, 2023 on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Marshfield with a sharp 53-31 victory. The victory was nothing new for Marist as they're now sitting on three straight.
Seaside is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Marist, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.
Seaside came up short against Marist in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, falling 56-44. Can Seaside avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
