Softball Recap: Slaton Now 12-3 over Last 15 Games

Slaton won against Shallowater last Monday with 18 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Tigers beat the Idalou Wildcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 18-4. Considering the Tigers have won 14 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Slaton got a massive performance out of Burkelynn Lamberson, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one stolen base. Anelise Luera was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Slaton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .655. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .379 or higher in five consecutive matches.

Slaton is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.8 runs. As for Idalou, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Slaton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair will be back at it again later today.
