D.C. Everest faced Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Evergreens were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Red Raiders. The victory was just business as usual for the Evergreens, who after 15 games remain undefeated this season.
Not much got past Addison Kluck, who gave up just three hits and racked up 17 Ks to keep Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln off the board. Kluck has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 12 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Sydney Spear was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsey Meverden, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
D.C. Everest pushed their record up to 15-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
