17 must be New Buffalo's lucky number: they beat Our Lady of the Lake Catholic with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Bison beat the Lakers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 17-8. Considering the Bison have won nine matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for New Buffalo and bumps their season record up to 10-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Our Lady of the Lake Catholic, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Buffalo will host Michigan Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Our Lady of the Lake Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eau Claire at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Lakers are facing the Beavers at the right time seeing as the Beavers are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
