Leake County found their leader in underclassman Treylon Ricks, who scored 28 points along with three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ricks has scored at least a third of Leake County's points. Tay Fortune was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Leake County's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-13. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Mount Olive, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
