There's no place like home for the Fullerton Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against Pleasanton by a score of 48-38 on Friday. This was payback for Fullerton, who suffered a 66-34 loss the last time these two teams met.
Fullerton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nolan Dubas, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Dubas hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Gochenour, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Fullerton's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Pleasanton, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fullerton will challenge Heartland Lutheran on Saturday. As for Pleasanton, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] at 4:00 p.m. on January 27th.
