If the Fellowship Christian Paladins were riding high off their 56-23 takedown of the Whitefield Academy WolfPack last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Fellowship Christian took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Union County on Tuesday. Fellowship Christian has not had much luck with Union County recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Fellowship Christian still got an impressive performance from Alden Hays, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ella Upchurch, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Fellowship Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Union County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-10.
Fellowship Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 45-36 loss vs. Providence Christian Academy on the 9th. Union County will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Athens Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th.
