Lamar is 0-10 against Bellaire since March of 2019 but things could change on Saturday. The Texans will square off against the Cardinals at 11:30 a.m. Bellaire took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lamar, who comes in off a win.
Lamar was handed an eight-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene two weeks ago. They won by a run and slipped past Heights 14-13. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Texans considering their one-run performance the game before.

Margot Royston was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Maureen Faustermann also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Lamar kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Bellaire didn't have quite enough to beat Heights on Tuesday and fell 10-9.
Mia Wilner led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Madysen Tennard, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.
Lamar pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Bellaire, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.
Saturday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lamar has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .531. However, it's not like Bellaire struggles in that department as they've averaged .450. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lamar suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Bellaire when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Texans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
