The Vista PEAK Prep Bison's's game last Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against Lewis-Palmer by a score of 36-26. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Vista PEAK Prep has managed all season.
Vista PEAK Prep can attribute much of their success to Mackenzie Griffin, who scored nine points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Griffin has scored all season. Eianna Jackson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds.
Kendall Lane and Rylee Edmondson certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Lane scored five points along with 11 rebounds, while Edmondson scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Blakesley, who scored five points along with ten rebounds.
Vista PEAK Prep's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Lewis-Palmer, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vista PEAK Prep will be home for the holidays to greet Arvada West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Arvada West focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday. As for Lewis-Palmer, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Liberty focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday.
