Desert Christian's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anika Mulkey, who scored 17 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Faith Charles, who scored six points along with eight steals and five assists.
Despite the loss, Benson still got an impressive performance from Kaylei Taylor, who scored 13 points. That was a full 39.4% of Benson's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Rylee Deskins was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Desert Christian's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Benson, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-8.

San Manuel will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Benson, they will head out on the road to face off against Santa Rita at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Rita comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
