Jordan-Matthews is 0-4 against Southeast Alamance since January of 2024 but things could change on Friday. The Jordan-Matthews Jets will be playing at home against the Southeast Alamance Stallions at 6:00 p.m. After both made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Jordan-Matthews turned things around against North Moore on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Mustangs as they made off with a 45-22 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Jets have posted since December 17, 2024.

Jordan-Matthews' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kelsey Morris led the charge by putting up 13 points. Those 13 points gave Morris a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lizzie Alston, who posted 11 points.
Meanwhile, Southeast Alamance had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 45.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They blew past the Chargers 56-33. Given the Stallions' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Chargers are ranked 90th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jordan-Matthews better keep an eye on Shaniya Paylor. She was instrumental in Southeast Alamance's win, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten assists. Paylor has been hot, having also posted six or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Clara LaChapelle, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards.
Southeast Alamance was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northwood only racked up seven assists.
Southeast Alamance is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for Jordan-Matthews, their win bumped their record up to 4-13.
Jordan-Matthews was taken down by Southeast Alamance 71-11 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Jordan-Matthews was down 47-4.
