The South Fort Myers Wolfpack will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mariner Tritons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, South Fort Myers was the victim of a rough 41-17 defeat at the hands of Dunbar. Despite 122 more yards than Dunbar, South Fort Myers couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
The losing side was boosted by Justin White, who picked up 135 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The team's defense also tried their best in the loss by holding Dunbar to a paltry 205 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to South Fort Myers' ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out five times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Jacoby Mason and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, even though Cape Coral scored an imposing 34 points on Friday, Mariner still came out on top. Mariner enjoyed a cozy 50-34 win over Cape Coral.
Justin Lewis was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 146 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelvin Jimenez, who gained 47 total yards and three touchdowns.
South Fort Myers has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Mariner, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
