Baseball Recap: Nute Extends Winning Streak to Four

Nute lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pittsfield, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's match. The Rams beat the Panthers on Wednesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won five games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Brody Leeman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Beckett Viveiros was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Brandon Bilodeau was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Nute was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Nute, bringing their record up to 6-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Pittsfield, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
