After two games on the road, Dawson is heading back home. They will take on the Axtell Longhorns at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Dawson was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 49-45 to Bremond.
Meanwhile, Axtell earned a 28-21 win over Bremond on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Axtell.
Axtell found their leader in underclassman Levi Leathers, who scored ten points.
Dawson's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7. As for Axtell, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season.
Dawson didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Axtell in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 49-43 victory. Does Dawson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Axtell turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
