Adding to the longest winning streak in 2A - South this week, Grand County beat North Summit 34-13. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Red Devils.
Grand County took down the Braves 34-13 last week, the largest margin of any game. Koi Cook ran for 130 yards and caught 1 pass for 27 yards in the win.
Beaver's dynamic duo of Kasen Hutchings and Branson Blackburn proved tough for South Summit to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Hutchings threw for 151 yards and 1 touchdown and Blackburn had 61 yards receiving. Michael Roberts helped Beaver's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 60 yards.
Roberts was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Beavers fell to the Wildcats. He nabbed 1 interception.
Jacob Francis provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Dennis Wells' team defeated North Summit. He completed 3 passes for 77 yards and also ran for 116 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Roberts. The Beaver star has 34 catches for 651 yards.
The Red Devils led the league in scoring this week by notching 34 points on Devin Smith's team. Cook ran for 130 yards and caught 1 pass for 27 yards during the win.
