The Washougal Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Heritage Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Washougal had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a rough 85-55 loss at the hands of Camas. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
The losing side was boosted by Mather Minnis, who scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Multanen, who scored 7 points.
Meanwhile, Heritage couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They suffered a rough 59-39 defeat at the hands of Seton Catholic on Tuesday.
Washougal's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-1.
Washougal came up short against Heritage when the teams last played back in November of 2022, falling 72-65. Thankfully for Washougal, Vernon Onick III (who scored 26 points along with 7 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
