Wabash River recap Sept. 26, 2012
North Vermillion extended the longest winning streak in Wabash River this week by beating Attica, 28-20. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Falcons.
Fountain Central moved up to 106 from 146 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Mustangs were able to make the jump by beating Seeger 51-12.
5-foot-11 quarterback Ryan Lewis of Rockville is the league leader in passing yards this season with 202. He has also thrown two touchdowns. On the ground, the Red Ramblers' Carson Davis has rushed for 531 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Lance Whorrall. The Attica star has three catches for 62 yards.
A big matchup in Wabash River this week will be when the Rox take on North Vermillion. At the moment, Rockville is in fifth, while the Falcons are in first.
Fountain Central led the league in scoring this week after putting up 51 points on the Patriots.
