After three games on the road, Barr-Reeve is heading back home. They will take on the Wood Memorial Trojans at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Barr-Reeve is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wood Memorial in Indiana (Barr-Reeve is ranked 71st, while Wood Memorial is ranked 257th).
Barr-Reeve posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Loogootee and snuck past 43-41.
Seth Wagler was his usual excellent self, scoring 12 points. Kendall Graber was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Wood Memorial unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 56-42 bruising from Pike Central. Wood Memorial has struggled against Pike Central recently, as their game on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Barr-Reeve pushed their record up to 12-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Wood Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Barr-Reeve took their victory against Wood Memorial when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 60-37. Does Barr-Reeve have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wood Memorial turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
