The biggest upset of the week belonged to North, who took down 156th ranked Geneva, 26-6.
The North Stars moved up to 211 from 276 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Upstate Eight - River. North climbed the ranks as a result of a 26-6 win over the Vikings.
Batavia's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Micah Coffey threw for 175 and three touchdowns and Zachary Strittmatter had 102 yards receiving. On the ground Anthony Scaccia chipped in 114 yards. Jason Toth helped Batavia's passing attack out by catching one ball for 22 yards.
Noah Parsons made the biggest impact on defense this week as Geneva lost to Mark Gould's team. The 5-foot-9 defensive back grabbed one interception.
The Bulldogs' Coffey and Strittmatter have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Coffey has thrown for 1003 yards this season, while Strittmatter, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has 33 catches for 516 yards. Bobby Hess from Frank Martin's team leads the league in rushing with 709 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Batavia takes on Larkin. At the moment, Dennis Piron's team is in first, while the Royals are in fifth.
The Bulldogs extended the longest winning streak in Upstate Eight - River this week by beating Lake Park, 33-29. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
