The Maplesville Red Devils's three-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 62-34 victory over Isabella on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Maplesville also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Leading Maplesville to victory were Nehemiah McCary and Jonathan Wilson. McCary scored 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals, while Wilson scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakobe Nix, who scored five points along with ten assists and four steals.
The win got Maplesville back to even at 1-1. As for Isabella, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maplesville will take on Loachapoka at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Isabella, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Billingsley at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Billingsley is ranked 459th, while Isabella is ranked 462nd).
