The St. Brendan Sabres will head out on the road to face off against the Norland Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Brendan is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Two weeks ago, St. Brendan took a serious blow against Barron Collier, falling 34-7.
The losing side was boosted by Widley Jean Francois, who rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. Jean Francois really tore up the turf during one magnificent 78-yard run.
Meanwhile, Norland put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Killian 54-0 on the road. The result was nothing new for Norland, who have now won six games by 35 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for Ennio Yapoor, who threw for 340 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Yapoor is on a roll when it comes to passing yards, as he's now passed for 300 or more in the last three games he's played. Jaheim Miller made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Norland's defense and their 16 sacks. It was a group effort, with three picking up two apiece.
Barron Collier's win bumped their season record to 8-2 while St. Brendan's loss dropped theirs to 7-3.
Thursday's match might be decided on the ground as these two are both standouts in the run game. St. Brendan has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 166.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Norland struggles in that department as they've been averaging 149.3 per game. It's looking like Thursday's contest might have some serious battles in the trenches.
