Basketball Game Preview: Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights vs. Northumberland Christian Warriors

The Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights will be home for the holidays to greet the Northumberland Christian Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Northumberland Christian took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Neumann Regional Academy, who comes in off a win.

Neumann Regional Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Montgomery 50-20 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Niyah Tutler was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 12 boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8.8 rebounds per game. Sophia Reid was another key player, putting up seven points along with 12 rebounds and seven steals.

Meanwhile, Northumberland Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 37-20 fall against South Williamsport.

Neumann Regional Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Northumberland Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Everything went Neumann Regional Academy's way against Northumberland Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as Neumann Regional Academy made off with a 55-32 victory. In that game, Neumann Regional Academy amassed a halftime lead of 36-12, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
