After flying high against the Ichabod Crane Riders on Tuesday, the Schalmont Sabres came back down to earth. Schalmont took a serious blow against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake on Wednesday, falling 65-31. Schalmont was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-17.
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Teagan Keane out in front who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taniyah Monforte, who scored 15 points.
Schalmont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Schalmont will stay at home for another game and welcome Albany Academy for Girls at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th. Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake will take on Averill Park at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Averill Park will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
