Basketball Recap: South Fork's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

South Fork won the last time they faced Okeechobee and things went their way on Thursday too. The South Fork Bulldogs snuck past the Okeechobee Brahmans with a 41-36 win. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Loss or not, Okeechobee got some senior leadership from Channing Delagall and Chaynaya'Ah Phillips. Delagall posted 11 points and six rebounds, while Phillips had seven points. Phillips is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. James Jasper was another key player, putting up seven points.

South Fork's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. As for Okeechobee, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 8-3.

After both having extra time off, South Fork and Pine will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 2:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. As for Okeechobee, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 55-52 loss against Bayside on the 21st.
