North County is 8-2 against Glen Burnie since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Chesapeake hit North County with a five-run sixth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights came up short against the Cougars, falling 12-2. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Knights couldn't push the score so high this time.

Manny Katabana made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with four RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Glen Burnie got a massive performance out of Jordan Dailey, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double. Dailey has become a key player for the Gophers: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 2-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Earl Fisher, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Glen Burnie kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 10.
North County's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Glen Burnie, their record now sits at 4-9.
North County beat Glen Burnie 6-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Gophers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
