The victory was nothing new for Elkhart Christian Academy as they're now sitting on three straight.
Aiden Hibbard was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with five rebounds. LJ Bevier was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Lakeland posted their biggest victory since December 1, 2023 on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 67-42 margin over Garrett. Given Lakeland's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while Garrett is ranked 345th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Nate Keil continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Keegan Merrifield, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Elkhart Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Lakeland, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
