Shorewood owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors as they made off with a 7-0 victory. The Stormrays might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.
Joey Facilla made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. Facilla was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Lorenzo Jaramillo was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Shorewood is 9-1 when Jaramillo posts two or more runs, but 6-7 otherwise. Kanata Barber was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.
The win made it two in a row for Shorewood and bumps their season record up to 15-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Edmonds-Woodway, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-8.
Shorewood has already played their next contest, a 5-3 win against Ridgeline on the 20th. Edmonds-Woodway does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
