After losing to Bismarck the last time they met, Poyen decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Poyen blew past Bismarck 58-27. Poyen were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Poyen's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 51 points in the first half. Bismarck came up with 21 to make it 51-21 heading into the break. The Poyen defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the matchup. The victory bumped their record up to 2-0. The loss dropped Bismarck's record to 1-2.
Poyen will look to defend their home turf next week against Murfreesboro at 7:00 PM. Bismarck will have some time to rest before their next match, which is against Harmony Grove in two weeks at 7:00 PM.
