Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 20 to ten on the offensive boards, a fact the Central Cobras proved on Monday. They walked away with a 40-30 win over Jensen Beach. The win made it back-to-back wins for Central.
Central found their leader in underclassman LOVELY GABRIEL, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. GABRIEL hasn't dropped below three blocks for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of HARMON RANDOLPH, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Jensen Beach lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Danielle Bell, who scored 14 points. Bell continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Abby Fitzwater was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.
Central's win bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Jensen Beach, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Treasure Coast the next time they take the court. Jensen Beach will host Treasure Coast at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Central will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
