Baseball Recap: Northwest's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Northwest came into Saturday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Byron Nelson Bobcat on Saturday by a score of 5-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). This was a revenge game for the Texans: when they faced off against the Bobcat on Friday, they had to take a 5-0 defeat.

Northwest's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Byron Nelson, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 15-7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Northwest is set to take on their familiar foe Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Byron Nelson will challenge rival Bell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bobcat 2.8, the Blue Raiders 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
