The Lakeside Knights waltzed into Saturday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Kellogg, posting a 57-27 win on the road. This was payback for Lakeside, who suffered a 78-71 loss the last time these two teams met.
Lakeside got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brutis Sijohn out in front who scored 11 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Sijohn is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Charley , who scored 9 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals.
Lakeside's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Kellogg, they have fallen quite a ways from their 19-9 record last season and are now at 1-2.
Lakeside will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Timberline at 2:30 p.m. on December 16th. As for Kellogg, they will head out on the road to face off against Moscow at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
