The Banning Lewis Academy Stallions scored the most points they've had all season to find success  on Monday. They blew past Fountain Valley 80-46 at home. Banning Lewis Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four  matches by 26  points or more this season.
 Banning Lewis Academy got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Joseph Bjegovich out in front who  scored eight points along with six  assists and five  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Kobe Welch, who  scored 19 points.
 Fountain Valley lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Jaden Lopez-Hardy, who  scored 15 points along with seven  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Asa Almgren, who  scored eight points along with four  blocks and two  steals.
 Banning Lewis Academy pushed their record up to 10-3 with that  victory, which was their ninth straight  at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Fountain Valley,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 4-4.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Banning Lewis Academy won't have much time to rest: their next  matchup is against Ellicott at 7:30  p.m.  on January 23rd. Ellicott is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Fountain Valley, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Dolores Huerta Prep at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
