Lyndon extended their losing streak to 11 on Monday, dropping them down to 3-17. They fell 8-3 to the Central Heights Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-3 on Monday.

Like Lyndon, Central Heights also got a great game from a two-way player: Aracely Crump. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Crump has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Lillea Clayton was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Cayleigh Latimer was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Looking ahead, Lyndon will head out on the road to face off against Wabaunsee at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.23 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Central Heights, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Erie at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
