Chillicothe is 1-9 against Northside since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Chillicothe Eagles are on the road again and plays the Northside Indians at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Chillicothe has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Tuesday, Chillicothe had to suffer through a rough 88-26 loss at the hands of Electra. While losing is never fun, Chillicothe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1661st, while Electra is ranked 764th).
Meanwhile, Northside's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Benjamin, falling 97-36. Northside was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-19.
Chillicothe dropped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.8 points per game. As for Northside, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.
Chillicothe was taken down by Northside 56-27 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Chillicothe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
