Jayden Stoddard Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Wahkiakum was led to victory by Jayden Stoddard, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Stoddard threw for 333 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 15.1 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 48 yards and a touchdown. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 3.3 passing touchdowns per game. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
The win (which was Wahkiakum's third in a row) raised their record to 4-3. Stoddard and Wahkiakum will challenge Chief Leschi at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Gio Rodas Turns in Season-Best Performance
Oakville was led to victory by Gio Rodas, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Rodas threw for 269 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes, and also rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Unfortunately for Sound Christian, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Rodas. Rodas threw for 280 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries the last time he and the Lions duked it out back in October of 2023.

Resseau Made His Presence Known in Sound Christian's 56-42 Loss
Kona Resseau's rushing tear continued on Thursday as he dropped his third-straight game with 183+ rushing yards. He rushed for 183 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 7.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 28 yards and a touchdown.
Sound Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. Resseau and Sound Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Taholah at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Daniel Rodas' Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Oakville was led to victory by Daniel Rodas, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Rodas picked up 132 receiving yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 59 yards.
Sound Christian's probably not too fond of Rodas given he always seems to get the better of them. Rodas picked up 145 receiving yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Lions duked it out back in October of 2023.

Ben Kimbrel Goes Supernova in Oakville Victory
Ben Kimbrel posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Thursday. He rushed for 161 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.
On the year, Kimbrel has averaged 32 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he was only averaging 30.5 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 66.67 rushing yards.
