Hamden hasn't had much luck against Sheehan recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Dragons will host the Titans at 3:45 p.m. Hamden has given up an average of 11.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Hamden will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Friday, then bounced right back against New London on Saturday. The Dragons put the hurt on the Whalers with a sharp 23-12 win. With that victory, the Dragons brought their scoring average up to 7.5 runs per game.

Felicity Potkay made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 13 over 6.2 innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her six plate appearances with three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Hamden got a massive performance out of Lillian Hagen, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those four runs gave Hagen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aunne Brookshire, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Hamden kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 25 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 10.2.
Meanwhile, Sheehan entered their game against Lyman Hall on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Titans fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 8-7. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 25, 2023, but that streak is no more.
Hamden's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Sheehan, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
Hamden might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Sheehan when the teams last played back in April. Will the Dragons have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
