The University Christian Barracudas's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 63-22 loss at the hands of Davidson Day. While losing is never fun, University Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 608th, while Davidson Day is ranked 60th).
Despite the loss, University Christian still got an impressive performance from Reece Morin, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
University Christian dropped their record down to 1-10 with that loss, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Davidson Day, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.
University Christian will play host again and welcome Salem Baptist Christian, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Davidson Day, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Providence Day at 2:30 p.m. on January 27th. One thing working in Providence Day's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
