The Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a serious blow against Hollidaysburg on Tuesday, falling 67-38. Bellwood-Antis lost against Hollidaysburg in their previous head to head back in December of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 74-24 score last time.
Defeat or not, Bellwood-Antis got some senior leadership from Anthony Caracciolo who scored 22 points and Corry Shanafelt who scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds.
Bellwood-Antis' defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Hollidaysburg, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Bellwood-Antis will be playing in front of their home fans against Somerset at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hollidaysburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Chestnut Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
