The Camden Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 28 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 92-15 win over Lakewood at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-9.
Joyce Edwards continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a triple-double on 34 points, 17 rebounds, and ten steals. That makes it 14 consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Camden's points. Zyasia Carter was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Lakewood lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Zakiya Hodge. Despite the final result, she scored seven points. Hodge scored a full 46.7% of Lakewood's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Camden pushed their record up to 12-2 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 47.73 points. As for Lakewood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Coincidentally, Camden and Lakewood will both be playing Lake City the next time they take the court. Lakewood will host Lake City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Camden will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
