Natoma is 2-8 against the Bulldogs since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Natoma Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Osborne Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Natoma has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while the Bulldogs will arrive with four straight wins.
Last Tuesday, Natoma had to suffer through a rough 52-22 loss at the hands of the Panthers.
Despite their loss, Natoma saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. MaKayla Murphy, who scored 14 points, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Murphy has scored all season. Caylie Lyle was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Osborne put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They beat Miltonvale by the very same score they won with last week: 66-22.
Natoma's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.0 points per game. As for Osborne, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
Natoma took a serious blow against the Bulldogs in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 81-48. Can Natoma avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
