St. Stephens hasn't had much luck against Foard recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The St. Stephens Indians will be playing at home against the Foard Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Foard took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Stephens, who comes in off a win.
The home team had won the previous five meetings between St. Stephens and Freedom, and St. Stephens kept the tradition alive. St. Stephens came out on top against Freedom on Monday by a score of 10-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Indians have posted against the Patriots since March 10, 2020.

On the hitting side, Addison Smith was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Alexa Woodard, who scored three runs while going 1-for-4.
St. Stephens was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Freedom only posted a batting average of .083.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Foard challenged Lake Norman on Friday. Foard fell just short of Lake Norman by a score of 7-5.
Karsyn Sigmon was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Sigmon was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Livi Queen was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Addy Lael was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
Foard's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Stephens, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
St. Stephens might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Foard when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can St. Stephens avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
