SouthWest Edgecombe got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aaliyah Whitehead out in front who scored 24 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Whitehead has scored all season. Kd Collins was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with nine assists and four steals.
West Craven suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 73-53 walloping at the hands of North Pitt. West Craven has struggled against North Pitt recently, as their contest on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
SouthWest Edgecombe is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for West Craven, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-1.
