On Saturday, Rocket City beat Bradley Knights 56-46.
Rocket City got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was MacKenzie Baker out in front who scored 27 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Haley Sorrels was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five assists and three steals.
Rocket City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Bradley Knights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Rocket City will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cornerstone Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024. Cornerstone Christian is on a four-game streak of home wins, Rocket City a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Bradley Knights will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Georgia Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. North Georgia Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 28.1 points per game this season, so Bradley Knights' offense will have their work cut out for Bradley Knights.
